Unlicensed Cannabis Shop Raided in Phuket Town, More Than 123,000 Baht Seized
Authorities in Phuket carried out an operation against illegal cannabis sales on November 4, raiding an unlicensed shop in the centre of Phuket Town and seizing more than 123,000 baht in cash.

The inspection took place at approximately 3:15pm on Ratsada Road in the Talat Nuea subdistrict. The operation was coordinated by Deputy Governor Romdon Hayi-awa and Mueang Phuket District Chief Siwat Rawangkul, with the participation of district public health officials.
The team inspected the cannabis retail outlet as part of enforcement measures targeting unauthorised sales in Mueang Phuket district. Officers found that the premises did not have the permits required to sell cannabis.

A 41-year-old woman identified as the shop owner was arrested. During the operation, officials seized 36 cannabis products, seven other related items and 123,290 baht in cash.
The woman and the confiscated items were taken to Phuket City Police Station. After the arrest formalities were completed, the case was handed over to investigators for further legal proceedings under the relevant laws.
