Two Fatal Road Accidents Reported in Phuket in One Day

Two fatal road accidents were recorded in Phuket on April 11, according to data from the Thai Road Safety Center (ThaiRSC). However, detailed information is available for only one of the incidents, which drew significant media attention due to its severity.

The first deadly crash occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on Thepkrasattri Road in Koh Kaew subdistrict. According to a police report, the motorcyclist lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons and fell onto the roadway. Moments later, he was struck by a car traveling behind him.
Following the collision, the driver of the car also lost control, veered off the road, and crashed into a streetlight pole. The impact caused the vehicle to catch fire. The motorcyclist died at the scene from catastrophic injuries, while the car driver was taken to hospital. No official update on the driver’s condition has been released.
The second fatal accident reportedly took place in Kathu district, but authorities have not provided details regarding the exact time or location.
