Three Arrested as Phuket Police Shut Down Alleged Drug Distribution House

Police in Phuket have dismantled an alleged drug distribution point in Phuket Town, arresting three suspects and seizing methamphetamine along with equipment believed to have been used in drug sales.

The operation took place on June 25, when officers from Phuket City Police Station, working together with district officials, searched a house in Soi Phunphol 11 in Talad Nuea.

Three people were taken into custody: 52-year-old Mr. Kung, a Phuket resident; 39-year-old Ms. Toey from Chiang Rai; and 36-year-old Mr. Chan, also from Phuket.

During the raid, investigators seized six packets of crystal methamphetamine with a combined weight of 55.45 grams. Officers also confiscated a digital scale, drug-use equipment, modified plastic straws believed to have been used for dividing narcotics into smaller quantities, and a wooden cash box.

Police additionally recovered three mobile phones—an iPhone 17 Pro Max, an iPhone 16 Pro Max, and a Realme Note 60. Investigators said conversations found on the LINE messaging application linked the suspects to suspected drug-related activities.

All three suspects have been charged with jointly possessing crystal methamphetamine with intent to sell without legal authorization.

Ms. Toey and Mr. Chan also face additional charges for illegal drug use.

Following the operation, the suspects and the seized evidence were transferred to Phuket City Police Station, where investigators continue legal proceedings and further inquiries into the case.
