Thailand Privilege Strengthens Member Screening with Five-Agency Security Checks

Thailand Privilege Card Co., Ltd. (TPC), the operator of Thailand’s premium long-term residency program under the supervision of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has reaffirmed its commitment to strict member screening procedures by working closely with five government security agencies.

The company said the enhanced verification process is designed to ensure a high-quality membership base, strengthen national security, and support Thailand’s reputation as one of the world’s safest destinations for long-term foreign residents.

According to TPC President Manatase Annawat, the organization’s mission extends beyond attracting affluent foreign residents and encouraging economic activity. Equal importance is placed on maintaining public safety and protecting the country’s security interests.

To achieve this, Thailand Privilege has implemented a comprehensive screening system in cooperation with the Immigration Bureau, the Foreign Affairs Division of the Royal Thai Police, the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB), the National Intelligence Agency, and the Anti-Money Laundering Office (AMLO).

The membership approval process consists of five stages. Applicants must first submit documentation for an initial qualification review. Family applicants are required to provide official documents confirming their relationship, such as marriage or birth certificates.

A detailed criminal background check then follows, with applicant information reviewed by the relevant security agencies. Membership approval is granted only after all checks have been completed and cleared by the authorities. Successful applicants can then proceed with visa endorsement procedures.

Members may receive their Privilege Entry Visa through Thai embassies and consulates abroad or at designated service points, including Suvarnabhumi and Phuket International Airports.

The screening process continues even after membership approval. Participants must comply with all Thai laws and immigration requirements, including 90-day reporting obligations, annual stay extension procedures, and routine checks during every entry and departure from Thailand.

Thailand Privilege currently offers five membership tiers with validity periods ranging from five years to more than 20 years.

The Bronze package starts at 650,000 baht and provides a five-year membership. The Gold package costs 900,000 baht and includes a five-year membership with 20 privilege points annually. Platinum membership is priced at 1.5 million baht and offers 10 years of residency privileges with 35 annual points.

The Diamond package costs 2.5 million baht and includes a 15-year membership with 55 points per year. The highest tier, Reserve, is available by invitation only for ultra-high-net-worth individuals. It requires a membership fee of 5 million baht and provides residency privileges exceeding 20 years, renewable every five years, along with 120 privilege points annually.

Members receive a range of benefits, including long-term residency visas, VIP airport services, government concierge assistance, dedicated customer support, and various lifestyle privileges covering travel, accommodation, leisure, healthcare, and wealth management.

Thailand Privilege currently serves more than 40,000 members representing over 50 nationalities. Over the past 23 years, the program has contributed significantly to the Thai economy, with annual economic impact estimated at more than 50 billion baht.

TPC stated that maintaining rigorous screening standards remains a key priority as it seeks to position Thailand as a trusted second-home destination for international residents while supporting the country’s long-term economic and social development.
