Police in Nakhon Si Thammarat have opened an investigation into the suspicious death of a 31-year-old woman discovered in a hotel room late Wednesday evening.

The victim was identified as Kimyong Chaisanasin, who was originally from Phuket. Her body was found at around 9:00 p.m. in Room 9 of a hotel located in the Mueang district.
According to initial police findings, the woman was lying on her back on the bed, dressed in a pink T-shirt and long jeans. However, investigators noted several irregular details at the scene. In particular, there were indications that her clothing may have been altered after death, raising concerns that the case may involve foul play.
Hotel employees told authorities that earlier that day, at approximately 11:50 a.m., Ms. Chaisanasin checked into the room accompanied by an unidentified man. Later, the same man reportedly left the premises alone, which prompted staff to inspect the room. Upon entering, they discovered the woman’s body and immediately alerted police.
The case is now being treated as suspicious. Forensic specialists are conducting a detailed examination of evidence collected at the scene, while investigators are working to identify and locate the man who was last seen with the victim.
Authorities have not yet released further details, and the investigation remains ongoing.
