Phuket is set to welcome back two well-known running events this May, continuing the island’s active sports season. The calendar includes the annual Nurses Phuket Run on May 17 and the first stage of the “3 Districts, 3 Lakes” series on May 30.

The Nurses Phuket Run 2026, organized by the Ministry of Public Health, aims to support healthcare workers while promoting a healthier lifestyle and reducing pressure on medical services. Participants will take part in a 5-kilometre run through Saphan Hin Park. In their invitation, Vachira Phuket Hospital encouraged residents and visitors to come together, enjoy the fresh morning atmosphere, and support a shared commitment to well-being.
Registration for the event is already open. The entry fee is 300 baht for individuals or 799 baht for a family package covering three participants. The run is scheduled from 5:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on May 17.

Later in the month, the Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization (PPAO) will host the first round of its popular “3 Districts, 3 Lakes” running series. This initiative promotes fitness and community engagement and is free of charge, which traditionally attracts a large number of participants.
Due to high demand, organizers will limit participation to 3,000 runners, each receiving an event T-shirt designed this year by local artist Jakrapat Klaethanon. Registration will be divided into three stages: in-person sign-ups on April 21 and 22 at Limelight Phuket (1,000 slots per day), followed by an online registration round on April 24 for the remaining 1,000 places.
The race will take place at Bang Wad Reservoir, covering a distance of 6 kilometres. While the exact старт time has yet to be confirmed, participants interested mainly in the run itself can still join on the day, even without securing a T-shirt.
