Phuket Man Arrested After Drugs Discovered Hidden in Earphone Case

Police in Phuket have detained a 30-year-old man after uncovering illegal drugs concealed inside a wireless earphone case during a search operation in Wichit.

According to officers, the raid led to the arrest of the suspect, identified as Athiphong, at his residence. He now faces charges related to the possession of Category 1 narcotics, including crystal methamphetamine (“ice”) and heroin, under Thai law.

Investigators reported that the drugs were carefully hidden inside a green wireless earphone case with yellow detailing. The seized substances included 0.34 grams of crystal methamphetamine packed in a plastic bag, as well as 0.11 grams of heroin stored in a small sealed tube.

In addition to the narcotics, police confiscated several items believed to be connected to the case. These included the earphone case used to conceal the drugs, a Vivo mobile phone, and two motorcycles — a white Honda PCX and a black Honda Wave 125.

Authorities estimated the total value of the seized assets at approximately 180,000 baht. The suspect has been taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
