Phuket Immigration Office to Close for Extended Holidays in April

Phuket’s Immigration Bureau and other government offices will operate on a reduced schedule in early April, with more non-working days than working ones.

According to an official announcement released on March 25, government agencies will be closed for eight days during the first half of the month, while remaining open for only seven days.
Holiday schedule
The extended closures are linked to two national holidays — Chakri Memorial Day on April 6 and the Songkran festival from April 13 to 15. Combined with regular weekends, this results in an extended break for public sector employees.
The working schedule is as follows:
April 1–3: Open
April 4–6: Closed
April 7–10: Open
April 11–15: Closed
Impact on services
The temporary shutdown will affect immigration services and other administrative processes, so residents and travelers are advised to plan ahead, especially if they need visa-related assistance or official documentation.
After the Songkran holidays, normal operations will resume. No additional public holidays are scheduled until early May, when Labour Day (May 1) and Coronation Day (May 4) will be observed.
