Phuket Immigration and Police Search Two International School Sites in Rawai
Phuket Immigration and Chalong Police searched two locations belonging to an international school in Rawai on the afternoon of October 8, 2026, under warrants issued by the Phuket Provincial Court.

The operation was ordered by Phuket Immigration Superintendent Pol. Col. Khemchat Watthanaphakasem and carried out jointly with officers from Chalong Police Station. The local investigation unit was headed by Pol. Col. Surasak Jaideel.
The warrants covered the school’s primary and secondary sections in Rawai subdistrict, Mueang Phuket district.
During the searches, officers encountered foreign nationals who identified themselves as co-owners of the school. The institution employs 49 foreign teachers and staff members, as well as seven Thai teachers.
Investigators seized approximately 20 documents for examination as potential evidence. Relevant individuals were also invited to provide statements.
Chalong Police investigators will review the seized materials and examine the school’s ownership structure to determine whether Thai nationals may be acting as nominee shareholders on behalf of foreign interests or whether the business is operating in breach of laws restricting foreign ownership or control of certain enterprises.
Authorities have not announced any confirmed violations or charges. Further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
