Phuket Gives Hotel and Entertainment Businesses Final Chance to Apply for Licenses

Phuket authorities have issued a final appeal to hotel and entertainment venue operators who are still operating without licenses or have not yet completed the licensing process, urging them to seek assistance and submit applications by July 2, 2026.

Governor Chotinarin Kerdsom said the initiative follows policies introduced by the Ministry of Interior and the Department of Provincial Administration to help businesses comply with legal requirements while promoting transparent and properly regulated operations.

To support operators, the province has established a one-stop service offering consultations, complaint handling, and licensing assistance. Business owners can receive guidance on legal requirements, discuss obstacles affecting their applications, submit documentation, and obtain advice from relevant government agencies.

The governor encouraged operators who have not yet taken advantage of the program to do so on its final day, July 2, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Consultation and complaint services are available at the Royal Phuket City Hotel, while license applications must be submitted to the district offices of Mueang Phuket, Kathu, or Thalang, depending on the location of the business.

Officials stressed that submitting an application or attending a consultation does not automatically result in license approval. Instead, it allows businesses to enter the formal review process, during which authorities will examine documentation, provide recommendations, identify missing requirements, and help operators resolve legal or regulatory issues.

According to Governor Chotinarin, bringing more businesses into the legal system will improve industry standards, strengthen visitor confidence, increase Phuket's competitiveness as a tourism destination, and contribute to the province's long-term economic and tourism development.
