Phuket Blood Donation Drive Marks Mother’s Day with Events Across the Island

A special blood donation campaign marking Mother’s Day in Thailand will begin at the Phuket Red Cross on Monday, August 10, and continue through Friday, August 14. Throughout the week, donors will be welcomed at Phuket Regional Blood Centre (Phuket RBC) and at several mobile donation stations across the island.



The campaign is held in honour of Her Majesty Queen Mother Sirikit, with residents and visitors invited to donate blood as part of the annual Mother’s Day activities.


The blood bank at Vachira Phuket Hospital will hold its main Mother’s Day donation event at Limelight Phuket on August 12. Blood donations can also be made at Vachira Phuket Hospital and at its mobile collection points throughout August.



Among the scheduled locations are several schools operated by the Kajonkiet school group.

The Mother’s Day campaign gives residents across Phuket several opportunities to donate blood both during the main August 12 event and throughout the rest of the month at mobile collection points.
