High-Speed Sports Car Flips Pickup in Late-Night Phuket Crash

A serious traffic accident in Phuket is under investigation after a luxury sports sedan crashed into a pickup truck waiting at a red light, leaving multiple people injured.

The collision occurred at 11:53 p.m. on May 28 on Wichitsongkram Road near the entrance to Prince of Songkla University. Officers from Kathu Police Station and emergency responders were dispatched to the scene following reports of a major crash.

Upon arrival, authorities found a white luxury sports sedan bearing red registration plates with extensive front-end damage. The vehicle had struck the rear of a pickup truck that was stopped at a traffic light while preparing to turn into the university. The impact was so powerful that it caused the pickup to overturn in the middle of the roadway.

Rescue workers provided assistance to the injured victims before transporting them to nearby hospitals for treatment. Officials have not yet released details regarding the number of people hurt or the severity of their injuries.

Videos shared on social media captured the dramatic moment of the crash, showing significant damage to both vehicles. Witnesses told investigators that the sports car appeared to be traveling at a high speed before slamming into the stationary pickup, startling nearby drivers.
