A restaurant owner in Phuket has reported a foreign couple to police after they were caught entering private property, using a swimming pool, and consuming cannabis without permission.

The incident took place in the Rawai area, where the owner of Grills Nai-Harn shared CCTV footage online showing an employee confronting the couple. In her post, she asked the public to help identify them, suggesting they might be staying in the nearby Soi Naya area.

According to the owner, the pair had previously visited the property, bringing a mat and smoking cannabis on-site. They later returned and used the swimming pool as if it were their own.

In the video, an employee can be heard telling the couple they were trespassing and warning that police would be called if they came back again. The man responded in Thai, saying “sabai sabai,” implying the situation should be taken lightly. However, the staff member insisted the matter was serious.

The couple eventually apologised and agreed to leave the premises.

Additional footage from nearby accommodation staff appeared to show the pair swimming and using cannabis again without permission. The videos were later shared by multiple Thai media outlets.

According to reports, the couple may not have had a fixed place to stay and were allegedly sleeping in public areas. They were also accused of begging for food and money, as well as causing disturbances in the neighborhood, including arguments and inappropriate behaviour while possibly under the influence.

The restaurant owner confirmed that she has filed an official complaint with police, and the case may now be subject to further investigation.
