Fire Damages Restaurant Building in Kata, No Injuries Reported

Firefighters quickly brought a morning fire under control after flames engulfed a three-storey restaurant building in Phuket's Kata area. Officials confirmed that no one was injured in the incident.

According to emergency services, the fire broke out at around 7:00 a.m. on August 3 at a restaurant located next to a hotel in Kata. Fire crews from the Karon Subdistrict Administrative Organization, supported by fire engines and water tankers, responded immediately.

The blaze was successfully contained by approximately 7:45 a.m., preventing it from spreading to nearby buildings and limiting further damage.

Authorities reported that there were no injuries or fatalities.

Investigators are now working to determine the cause of the fire and assess the extent of the damage to the property. Officials continue to monitor the site while engineers inspect the building to ensure it is structurally safe and to eliminate any risk of the fire reigniting.
