Diesel Prices Drop in Phuket to 40.69 Baht per Liter

Fuel prices in Phuket have continued to ease as the Thai government cautiously adjusts rates in response to stabilizing global energy markets. With limited fiscal capacity, authorities are prioritizing reductions in diesel costs due to its importance for transportation and the broader economy.

Following a decision by the Oil Fuel Fund (OFFO) on April 23, the retail price of diesel across Thailand was reduced by 1.50 baht per liter, effective April 24. As a result, diesel at Phuket’s fuel stations is now priced at 40.69 baht per liter.

Earlier in April, diesel prices on the island had climbed above 50 baht per liter, while in Bangkok they remained below that threshold. Updated figures were released by the provincial public relations office on April 24, providing a full overview of fuel prices despite the latest adjustment affecting only diesel.

In Bangkok, fuel prices as of April 24 are as follows: diesel B7 at 40.20 baht per liter, gasohol 91 at 42.08 baht, gasohol 95 at 42.45 baht, and gasoline at 52.04 baht per liter.

On Phuket, fuel is typically around 0.50 baht more expensive than in the capital. Current local prices include gasohol 91 at 42.57 baht, gasohol 95 at 42.94 baht, gasohol E20 at 35.94 baht, and gasoline at 52.53 baht per liter. Gasohol E85 is not widely listed but is estimated at approximately 31.84 baht per liter.

Premium fuels and specialized petroleum products vary depending on the station. For example, premium diesel currently ranges between 54.89 and 62.63 baht per liter, while Euro 5 premium diesel is priced at around 56.09 baht per liter.
