Phuket Pride Festival 2026 to Light Up Patong This June

Patong is preparing to host the Phuket Pride Festival 2026, which will take place from June 1 to June 7, immediately following the Buddhist holiday of Visakha Bucha. The festival dates were officially confirmed during a press conference held on May 19 at Jungceylon shopping center in Patong.

Representatives from both government agencies and the private sector attended the announcement event. Among them were Porntep Ruayrin, director of the Southern Office of the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), Patong Vice Mayor Sanakorn Keesin, Simon Cabaret executive Supakorn Suwan, along with local business leaders and community organizations.

This year’s Phuket Pride Festival will feature a week of entertainment, cultural events, competitions, and public discussions aimed at celebrating diversity and promoting equality.

Key events scheduled during Phuket Pride Festival 2026 include:

• May 29–31 — Beach Volleyball Tournament

• June 4 — Pride Talk Volume III conference

• June 5 — Miss Queen Andaman Power 2026 pageant

• June 7 — Pride Parade along Patong Beach Road

The festival will conclude with a large-scale concert featuring well-known Thai pop artists.

Organizers announced this year’s theme as “From Visibility To Equality,” emphasizing both social inclusion and equal rights.

At the same time, Phuket authorities continue to position Pride Month as an important tourism and economic initiative. Officials say events like Phuket Pride help strengthen the island’s global image as an open and welcoming destination for travelers of all nationalities, genders, and cultures.

In a statement published by Thailand’s state-run broadcaster NBT, officials highlighted that Phuket aims to establish itself as a safe, inclusive, and internationally recognized destination capable of hosting world-class events.

The statement also noted that Phuket’s long-term ambitions include a potential future bid to host World Pride 2030.

Separate Pride-related celebrations are also traditionally organized in Phuket Town during June, although local officials have not yet officially announced this year’s schedule.
