Phuket is hosting a week of Pride celebrations as the Phuket Pride Festival 2026 takes place in Patong from June 1 to June 7, bringing together residents and visitors in support of equality, diversity, and social inclusion.

Organized under the theme “From Visibility to Equality,” the event aims to strengthen Thailand’s reputation as an inclusive destination while promoting tourism and encouraging broader acceptance of diverse communities.

Deputy Government Spokesperson Ploytalay Laksameesangchan said the festival program includes a variety of activities ranging from sports and educational events to academic discussions and entertainment programs designed to engage people from different backgrounds.

One of the festival’s headline events is the 3rd Diversity Forum, scheduled for June 4. The forum will bring together participants for discussions on gender diversity, inclusion, and related social issues.

Another highlight is the Miss Queen Andaman Power 2026 competition, which will be held on June 5 at Jungceylon Shopping Center in Patong. Recognized as Phuket’s largest transgender beauty pageant, the event will select the 11th “Rainbow Pearl of the Andaman,” who will represent the festival as its official ambassador.

The celebrations will culminate on June 7 with the annual Phuket Pride Parade. Participants will march from Prachanukhro Road along Thaweewong Road before gathering at Patong Beach for the festival’s closing activities.

Officials say the event reflects Thailand’s ongoing efforts to promote equality, celebrate diversity, and welcome visitors from around the world.
