The Phuket Parkland & MusicFest will return to Mai Khao later this month, bringing three days of live music, local food, shopping and family-friendly entertainment to the island’s northern district.

The festival will take place from July 24 to 26 at Phuket Gateway, also known as Phuket City Gate, one of the island’s newest event venues.

Plans for this year’s event were officially unveiled on July 5 during a press conference at Limelight Phuket, attended by Phuket Provincial Administrative Organisation (PPAO) President Rewat Areerob, representatives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and officials from Mai Khao.

The inaugural Phuket Parkland festival was held at the same venue during the final weekend of August last year. For 2026, organizers have moved the event to late July while keeping its three-day format, combining live performances, a community market, local cuisine, contemporary Thai culture and large-scale decorative displays.

This year's theme, Sugar Candy, will transform Phuket City Gate into a colourful candy-inspired park featuring oversized decorations, art installations and themed photo spots.

The entertainment programme will be divided between two stages — the Main Stage and the Park Stage.

Scheduled performers include Atom Chanakan, Pu Puchan Long Mic, RachYO, Waiwit and Watcharawalee.

Visitors will also be able to explore a marketplace with more than 140 booths offering handmade products, local crafts, cafés, baked goods, regional specialties and traditional Phuket cuisine.

A highlight of the festival will be the Candy Costume 2026 competition, where participants will showcase creative outfits inspired by sweets and the fantasy world of Candy Land.

According to PPAO President Rewat Areerob, the festival is intended not only as an entertainment event but also as a way to stimulate tourism and economic activity in northern Phuket by attracting more visitors outside the island's main tourist centres.

Phuket Gateway is located in Mai Khao, close to the northern entrance to Phuket. Last year, organizers provided complimentary shuttle buses from Phuket Town with stops in Thalang. Details regarding transportation, opening hours and the full concert schedule for this year's festival are expected to be announced later.
