Police in Phuket have arrested a Thai man accused of sexually assaulting at least four women in the Chalong area during March.

According to Chalong Police Station, officers received four separate complaints from victims, including both Thai and foreign nationals. Authorities said the incidents caused widespread concern in the community, with some victims sustaining minor injuries while trying to escape.
Suspect identified through CCTV
Victims provided similar descriptions of the attacker, describing him as a slim, dark-skinned man with a shaved head who rode a black Honda Click 125 motorcycle.
Police reviewed CCTV footage from multiple locations and identified the suspect as a 30-year-old man known as Boy. An arrest warrant was issued by the Phuket Provincial Court on March 24, and he was taken into
custody the following day.
Pattern of attacks
In one case captured on video, a woman was parking her motorcycle at night when the suspect noticed she was alone. He stopped nearby, rushed toward her, grabbed her from behind, and groped her.
The victim struggled to break free and fell to the ground while calling for help. A friend came to assist her, prompting the attacker to flee the scene on his motorcycle.
Police believe the suspect used similar tactics in other incidents.
Charges and confession
During questioning, the suspect reportedly confessed to the assaults. He has been charged under Section 279 of Thai criminal law, related to sexual offences, which carries penalties of up to 10 years in prison and fines ranging from 20,000 to 200,000 baht.

Similar incidents reported
Authorities also referenced a comparable case in Pattaya earlier this year, where a man on a motorcycle followed and assaulted a woman walking alone. Another victim later reported a similar encounter, though no arrest was publicly confirmed in that case.
